Log book kept by Samuel Gould of trips between New London, Connecticut, and Africa in 1757-1758 for the purpose of trading in slaves. The first trip was on the Snow Africa, John Easton master, from January 18 to April 10, 1757. The second voyage was in the Ship Good Hope, Alexander Urquhart master, from April 11 to May 29, 1757. The third voyage was with Captain William Taylor on board the Snow Fox from March 28 to August 10, 1758.
