Description
View of the east side of Temple Street south of George Street prior to redevelopment, Church Street Project area, New Haven. A one-story commercial building extends along the block from the corner of George Street. Signs above and projecting from storefronts indicate that business occupants include (from lower left foreground to upper right background): a luncheonette and soda fountain advertising Coca-Cola, LaPointe Beer & Liquors, a coin shop, J.A. Restaurant and Pete’s Auto Stores. Cars are parked on both sides of the street. The Oak Street Connector and Church Street bridge appear to be under construction in the background.
