Scope and Contents

While the collection contains some World War II related documentation, including official paperwork, scant personal notes, and printed ephemera, the collection's strength lies in the photographs from the late 1930s and into 1957. The World War II years document not only John's and Anthony's time in camp and over in the European theater of war, but also the family's farming life in Milford. The juxtaposition provides valuable insight into the home front from a farming perspective, as well as the equipment and animals kept.
